設立宗旨
MISSION

本校為均衡發展「科學技術」與「人文藝術」教育,提昇校園藝文氣息,配合通識課程推廣藝術教育,提供師生及社區民眾藝文展演空間,特於88學年成立藝術中心,93學年組織調整為一級單位,本中心展覽設施完善,展場含創意廳、展覽廳、國際藝術博物廳、國際交流典藏廳、張敬藝術館、周義雄雕塑館等。

The Art Center was established in 1999 with a mission to strengthen arts and humanities education by providing an artistic space for the university faculty, students, and the community. The Center also integrates with the school's general education curriculum and its extensive programs to promote art education. The Center was promoted to be a first-level administrative unit in the academic year of 2004. The center includes the Creative Hall, Exhibition Hall, International Collaborative Collection Gallery, Chang Ching Gallery and Chou I-Hsiung Sculpture Gallery, and is well equipped for art exhibitions.

工作項目
WHAT WE DO

本校藝術中心除了舉辦國內藝術展覽之外,同時與國際藝術單位與團體舉辦交流活動,以增進本校師生對藝術文化的深度認知,提昇本校之國際形象,將在地藝術國際化並拉升本校國際能見度,強化軟實力環境。

In addition to holding local art exhibitions, the art center also organizes activities with international art units and groups to enhance not only the cultural and aesthetic experinces and awareness of our teachers and students. but also the international image of our school.

未來展望
FUTURE PROSPECTS

本校藝術中心未來將逐步成為中區藝術文化共創與推動基地,除了結合國際學術及文物交流,推廣和蒐集符合典藏發展特色之國際典藏,醞釀校內文化資源,向外鍵結邀請國際藝術家駐校作,辦理國際工作坊、展演或講座,生成本校師生之國際觀,構築校園美學經濟與資產,描繪藝術人文特質之學校特色藍圖,為師生、藝術家與社區提供良好的交流與互動平台,從校園出發成為地方核心。 

In the future, we hope that the art center will gradually become the Arts Hub for the co-creation and promotion of art and culture in central Taiwan. In addition to combining international academic exchangesand art collections, the Art Center will also invites international artists-in-residence, and hold workshops, exhibitions and speeches accordinly.  We hope to provide our staffs and students an interactive and communicative platform with the artists and the community, becoming the center role for Arts and Humanities education in central Taiwan.
